"Type IIa diamonds are the most chemically pure type of diamond and often have exceptional optical transparecny. Type IIa diamonds were first identified as originating from India (particularly from the Golconda region) but have since been recovered in all major diamond producing regions of the world."
Biography
Cartier was founded in Paris in 1847 by Louis-François Cartier. His three grandsons, Louis, Pierre, and Jacques, built the house into a famous international jewelry empire serving royalty, Hollywood stars, and socialites.
